Appeal after man stabbed in back, neck during Flaxmere assault

Police are appealing for information after a man received "small stab wounds" to his back and neck during an assault in Flaxmere early on Saturday morning. 

The man was assaulted about 5.20am as he walked along Chatham Rd near the park. 

He remains in a stable condition in hospital after receiving three wounds to his back and one to his neck.

The offender is described as a skinny male in his early twenties, approximately 182 centrimetres tall, with short hair and wearing a light-coloured top.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the Chatham Rd area, particularly between Margate Ave and Omahu Rd, early on Saturday morning, who may have information which could help.
