One person has died in a two-vehicle crash in Te Atatū South in Auckland last night.
Officers were called to Tirimoana Rd shortly after 7pm.
"Two unoccupied parked cars were damaged during the collision," a police spokesperson said.
The road was closed as the serious crash unit examined the scene.
Police thanked motorists for their patience while inquries were carried out.
In a separate crash in Auckland overnight, five people were injured when a car rolled on the northern motorway near the Wellington St overbridge in the central city.

1News footage from the scene showed the road was blocked off, as officers investigated the scene and took photos of the rolled vehicle.
St John sent four ambulances and two rapid response vehicles.
"Five patients were assessed at the scene," a spokesperson said.
One in a critical condition, one in a serious condition and three in moderate conditions were all transported to Auckland City Hospital by ambulance.
