The White House has labelled Star Wars actor Mark Hamill as "sick" after he shared an AI-generated meme of US President Donald Trump in a grave.
The Bluesky post, which was later deleted, appeared to depict the President in an open grave. A gravestone above his head read "DONALD J. TRUMP 1946-2024".
A caption over the image read: "If Only."
In an accompanying post, Hamill wrote: “If Only- He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes."
“Long enough to realize he'll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore."

Hamill later removed the image and sought to clarify what he said.
"Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate," he wrote.
The Trump administration blasted Hamill for the post, calling him "one sick individual".
"These Radical Left lunatics just can't help themselves," the White House said on X.
"This kind of rhetoric is exactly what has inspired three assassination attempts in two years against our President."
Cole Tomas Allen was charged with the attempted assassination of US President Donald Trump after he allegedly charged past security, armed with a shotgun and pistol, at the venue of the White House Correspondents' dinner.
He allegedly shot a Secret Service agent in the leg with buckshot.
While campaigning in Pennsylvania during the 2024 election, Trump was shot in the ear. The attempted assassin was killed by the Secret Service.
Later that year, a man was found in bushes outside the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, while the President was golfing.
Ryan Routh was arrested after trying to flee and was sentenced to life in prison on February 4, 2026.
