Two people have been injured, one critically, after they were pulled from a house fire in Hamilton early this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to a two-storey house fire in Chartwell at around 2.56am Saturday.
Fire and Emergency NZ said crews from Chartwell, Te Rapa, Hamilton and support vehicles from Hukanui attended the garage fire, which was "well involved" upon arrival.
"Two patients were pulled from the house," a spokesperson said.
Hato Hone St John responded with two ambulances, one rapid response unit and one manager to the scene.
"Our crews assessed and treated one patient in a critical condition and one patient in a serious condition who were both transported to Waikato hospital," a spokesperson said.
Fire investigators were at the scene, and all persons had been accounted for.
