American singer Alex Warren has called off his show at Spark Arena tonight for medical reasons.
Frontier Touring announced the cancellation this afternoon and said ticket holders will receive an automatic refund for the cancelled show.
"It breaks my heart to even write this but I have to cancel tonight's show," Warren posted to his social media accounts. "I'm sadly bed-ridden. I can barely talk, let alone sing."
The performance was part of the Californian entertainer's Finding Family on the Road 2026 World Tour.
Auckland was one of two New Zealand stops on the tour, and he performed in Christchurch on August 21.
Warren, 25, said in his social media post that he had "never had to do this" and he had "tried everything to make it work".
He acknowledged those who had travelled for the concert and said knowing that people had come from all over New Zealand made it an even harder decision to make.
"I love you so much and I hope you understand," he said.
