A Hells Angels bikie has been charged after allegedly impersonating a returned military veteran.

The 41-year-old man was arrested by organised crime officers about 3.40pm on Tuesday at Peelwood, in the NSW Tablelands region.

It followed investigations by Strike Force Benson detectives, who had been probing alleged criminal activity involving the Hells Angels motorcycle club since August 2025.

During their investigations, they became aware of a man who had allegedly identified himself as being a former member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The 41-year-old man was arrested by organised crime officers about 3.40pm on Tuesday.

With the assistance of the ADF, however, detectives determined the man had no records of Australian military service.

The bikie was taken to Goulburn Police Station and charged with falsely representing to be returned soldier, sailor or airman.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today.

Investigations into the Hells Angels are ongoing under Strike Force Benson.
